The team is responsible for assessing, planning, developing, and implementing comprehensive programs to safeguard and protect the health, safety and security of the Company's globally distributed people, workplaces, and property, as well as ensuring the organization's adherence to applicable regulatory compliance, laws, and guidelines.

Position Overview

Autodesk's Global Safety & Security team is looking for an experienced Physical Security, Program Lead, to support several programs and initiatives, which will require proficient people management skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners, employees, contractors, vendors, guests, and customers. You must have a full understanding of development and implementation of physical security programs, procedures, policies, and guidelines, in addition to, having the ability to provide exceptional experiences and customer service.

As the Physical Security Program Lead, you will support the physical security operations of Autodesk's global workplaces and events, as well as provide cross-functional assistance to the following teams/programs: Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), Incident Response, Travel Security, Executive Protection, Employee Training & Awareness, and Technical Systems & Applications. This position will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Physical Security & Protective Services. This role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada in a hybrid capacity.

You will closely work and collaborate with inter-department global teams, which include Workplace Operations, Projects & Security Technology, Travel & Meetings and Real Estate to ensure that physical security policies and standards are met to safeguard and protect the Company's employees, guests, customers, partners, and assets. Additionally, you will partner with key cross-functional stakeholders from across the business, to include People and Events Experience teams, to provide support and direction on related Physical Security matters.

Responsibilities

  • Support physical security operations at Autodesk's global workplaces and assigned contracted guard services programs
  • Assist with the Event Security program and manage operational event physical security & safety planning, coordination, and execution for mid-to-large scale Company-sponsored events
  • Develop, design, and implement operational written policies, procedures, standards, training resources and methods to safeguard and protect employees, workplaces, and assets
  • Conduct workplace and event risk assessments and partner with cross-functional teams to identify physical security risks and vulnerabilities for global distributed workforce, workplaces, and property
  • Provide assistance with design and implemental solutions for physical security system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change-outs
  • Provide physical security consultation, integration coordination, access control system hardware health checks, CCTV system reviews and assessments
  • Conduct physical security audits of security systems, equipment, processes, and roles to optimize efficiencies and adhere to compliance controls
  • Enforce physical security guidelines and standards, as outlined by corporate policies and procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate physical security related training sessions for employees and contingent workers on security standards, policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Assist with Protective Services program and any third-party vendors providing services to mitigate risk to executive leadership
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Workplace Services Operations and other key cross-functional teams to deliver high level results with measurable business outcomes
  • Investigate internal incidents as assigned and review potential security threats or allegations
  • Create and present content that is distilled, precise and tailored to the appropriate stakeholder at the right altitude
  • Deliver employee training and best practices for Physical Security programs that are applicable to designated programs
  • Provide timely and accurate information on emerging threats, risks, and life safety and security incidents to the appropriate stakeholders and business units to ensure that informed decisions can be made to protect company personnel, assets, reputation, and business operations
  • Liaison with building and site management or outside security teams, to provide a safe and secure workplace environment for Autodesk employees and guests
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by direct reporting manage

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate physical security and/or combined with law enforcement/emergency management, and with practical knowledge of a broad range of corporate physical security domains, programs, and areas
  • Working knowledge of physical security and risk assessment methodologies for a remote and distributed workforce, including threat assessments of locations, buildings, and personnel
  • Must possess analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders, often under high-pressure conditions
  • Proficient communication, organization, and written skills in a global and multi-cultural and multi-generational environment
  • Proven objective analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to think strategically and deliver programs and services in an operationally pragmatic manner
  • Enthusiasm for solving unique and complex security challenges and implementing creative cost-effective solutions
  • Ability to manage security challenges in an ever-changing fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to work independently or with little instruction and be able to follow escalation procedures as outlined in terms of standards regarding critical or emergency situations
  • Must have the skills set and qualities of being empathic and have a natural passion for delivering exceptional service
  • Must possess the ability to foster and be a steward of a culture of trust, honesty, and integrity
  • Ability and willingness to be on call 24/7 to respond to company-related security emergencies
  • Occasionally subject to irregular hours, which may include working additional hours over regular schedule, some holidays, and/or unscheduled work hours.
  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel may be required
  • If prior military, must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $86,500 and $149,270. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $76,100 and $111,650. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
