Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Manager, specializing in the management and transformation of data center compute, storage, and automation across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building next gen edge location, optimizing, and maintaining our hybrid infrastructure compute, storage while ensuring seamless operation and automation of data center equipment such as UPS, PDUs, and other critical systems.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management
- Design, deploy, and maintain compute and storage solutions for on-premises data centers and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Automate deployment and scaling processes for physical and virtual servers, as well as cloud instances

Data Center Equipment Automation
- Implement and manage automation scripts and tools for maintaining critical data center equipment such as UPS, PDUs, CRAC units, and environmental monitoring systems
- Perform firmware and software updates for power and cooling systems, ensuring compliance with vendor guidelines
- Monitor and automate responses to alerts from data center hardware to ensure uptime and reliability
System Monitoring & Optimization
- Implement monitoring solutions for compute, storage, and data center equipment performance using tools like Dynatrace, Logic Monitoring, or vendor-specific platforms
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve system and equipment performance issues.
Automation & CI/CD
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and application delivery
- Use tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet for infrastructure and equipment automation
Storage Solutions
- Manage SAN/NAS systems, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
- Work with cloud storage services like S3, Blob Storage, or equivalent for data management and archival
Hybrid Environment Expertise
- Integrate on-premises and cloud environments for seamless operation and data exchange
- Transformed datacenter to next-gen edge locations and datacenter
- Implement hybrid cloud strategies, including migration plans, scalability, and cost optimization
Security & Compliance
- Ensure infrastructure and data center equipment security by implementing best practices for access control, encryption, and monitoring
- Maintain compliance with relevant standards such as SOX, GDPR, or SOC 2
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to align infrastructure with organizational goals
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical Expertise
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services
- Expertise in storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Storage)
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of managing and automating data center equipment like UPS and PDUs
- DevOps Tools
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
- Monitoring & Logging: Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK Stack
- Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional, or vendor certifications for data center equipment
- Experience in hybrid cloud strategy and implementation
- Knowledge of network management and security practices
- Experience with automation frameworks for data center hardware

- Managers of Professional roles - and/or managers of people that manage Support roles
- Manages work for medium size team, or multiple small teams and achieves results by directing work through supervisors/team leads and professional employees
- Typically focused on areas of subject matter expertise within one discipline
- Keep their teams organized, efficient, effective, productive, and motivated through professional leadership techniques
- Responsible for managing deliverables against expected results with a timeline that is typically longer than a quarter
- Focus is more operational, and decisions are typically made within established policies, procedures and objectives

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $133,000 and $215,270. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
