Position Overview
The Drainage Design Inside Sales Product Specialist Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing business opportunities for InfoDrainage software. This role is equally responsible for obtaining acceptance of infoDrainage by drainage permitting entities in the USA and Canada, regardless of whether they purchase. Active prospecting and leveraging leads from sources such as free trials, are key to this role which supports Autodesk's quarterly and annual business goal while delighting customers. Additionally, this role works closely with Autodesk partner companies, the water infrastructure product specialist sales team and the broader Autodesk AECO sales team in a matrixed, highly consultative team selling environment.

Responsibilities
- Prospect and Qualify Leads: Utilizes various communication channels to initiate contact with potential customers, assessing their current site and drainage design processes in order to propose areas for optimization
- Close Sales Opportunities: Works with leads provided by the Sales Development team, effectively guiding prospects through the sales funnel to close deals under $12k
- Collaborate with Field Sales: Engages and collaborates with field sales representatives to ensure a coordinated approach to hitting larger territorial and organizational objectives
- Obtain publishable industry acceptance: Works directly with drainage permitting entities and infrastructure asset owners to obtain publishable written acceptance of InfoDrainage and/or it's hydraulic and hydrology calculation methods. See more detail in this article

- Prepare Sales Reports: Consistently maintains documentation of sales activities and supports detailed forecasts and analysis for strategic planning and performance evaluation
- Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Keeps abreast of Autodesk's competitors, offering insights and advice to the broader sales, product and marketing teams, thereby enhancing sales effectiveness
Minimum Experience and Skills
- 3 years of project experience designing or approving designs for site drainage in the USA and/or Canada using commercial drainage design software
- Business development, sales or bid preparation experience
- Experience presenting engineering solutions to a management audience
Preferred experience
- Quota-carrying sales experience selling complex technology solutions
- Bachelors degree in Civil engineering
- Previous experience using Salesforce.com
- Experienced user of Civil 3D software
- Previous experience using CRM tools

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $104,600 and $151,360. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
