Position Overview
The Director of Water Industry Strategy will oversee a dedicated team responsible for shaping and communicating Autodesk's growth strategy within the Water sector. This role will lead the strategic business planning process, collaborating cross-functionally to develop actionable growth strategies and ensure alignment and execution. As a key leader, you will advocate for Autodesk's water business both internally and externally, representing the company at major industry events and fostering strategic customer relationships.
In addition, this team will evaluate and address critical strategic challenges facing Autodesk, providing leadership to resolve issues or develop action-oriented plans to meet defined goals. You and your team will also identify, nurture, and manage strategic industry partnerships, investments, and acquisitions to support Autodesk's water strategy. This role reports to the Vice President of AEC Design Strategy. The position is flexible, with the option to be based anywhere in North America, and will require approximately 30% travel, both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direct the efforts of Managers, Senior Managers, and subject-matter experts, ensuring impactful contributions to divisional strategies.
- Lead one or more disciplines within the business, contributing to the strategic direction and overall function.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping and contributing to strategies that influence the broader business or function.
- As a member of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Solutions) Strategy leadership team, collaborate on defining goals, objectives, and key metrics to measure the success of the AEC business.
- Translate the company's vision and overarching strategy into actionable tactics to achieve results through your team.
- Drive the development and execution of multi-year financial, operational, and organizational plans, leading cross-functional initiatives to ensure success.
- Identify organizational needs for change and lead initiatives to implement new approaches, policies, practices, and protocols that enhance overall success.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the water industry, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role within a related field.
- Bachelor's degree is required and a Master's is preferred in civil engineering.
- Comfortable working in an environment of ambiguity, with the ability to iterate and adjust while balancing competing priorities and making strategic trade-offs.

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $171,800 and $277,970. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
