Position Overview
The Japan Manufacturing Sales organization is looking for an outstanding sales leader responsible for defining the sales strategy and managing the execution of it through the Midmarket Account sales teams in order to drive revenue growth.
This position will be responsible for managing approximately 10 senior sales professionals and their respective teams, along with a business of approximately $50M annually. The group is responsible for sales and relationships for all manufacturing customers within Japan. The role requires significant leadership qualities, strategic thinking, proven ability to achieve significant enterprise and channel sales and in-depth industry knowledge. This role also requires an understanding of ADSK service/support offerings, as well as business model offerings.

Responsibilities
- Establishes the sales strategy for pursuing selected targeted accounts with support from WW Manufacturing Sales organization and all Divisions in conjunction with the Manufacturing Industry Marketing Team via market analysis, econometrics, knowledge of extensive customer base and trends
- Responsible for achieving and exceeding annual and multi-year revenue targets
- Responsible for assigning sales targets for sales leaders annually, forecasts revenue for area of responsibility and oversees quota setting
- Collaborates with all division and marketing staff to help define direction of Japan sales
- Directs the activities of multiple sales teams, including hiring, coaching, developing, and reviewing performance
- Ensures teams make effective use of sales processes, tools and methodologies (SFDC, TAS, SSN)
- Builds and influences a global/virtual team (sales, support and consulting)
- Develop strong working relationships across GEOs and functions (marketing, finance, operations, division, etc.)
- Guides teams in continuous improvement in moving Autodesk from vendor to trusted advisor
- Act as an escalation point in the authorization of discounts
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years sales experience and 10+ years proven ability to manage successful direct and indirect sales teams
- Industry knowledge related to the sales in manufacturing industries and related sub-segments
- Strong financial skills and experience in creating and managing large customer agreements
- Proven record of developing business relationships with large customer
- Adept at executive-level conversations with large customer
- Strong planning, leadership, organization and execution skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of non-domestic business practices and a global perspective
- Potential extensive travel in order to meet business objectives
