We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer for Automation to join our team. As a Software Engineer for Automation, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, pipelines, and scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our Desktop software products and Cloud Services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, engineering pipelines and scripts
  • Identify, analyze, and report software defects and issues, and work with the development team to resolve them
  • Develop comprehensive software automation test plans and cases to ensure the quality of the feature functionality and workflow, application performance
  • Continuously improve test automation processes and methodologies to increase coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Develop, maintain and monitor automation test dashboard and report for engineering process
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing and automation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field. Master's degree is desirable
  • Strong knowledge on C++/C# or Python programming skills
  • Knowledge and experience on testing automation tools and frameworks is a plus
  • familiarity with agile development processes and methodologies is a plus
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for learning and improving your skills
  • Self-motivated, possessing initiative to get things done with high quality

The Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate has a strong background in software development, a passion for automation, and a keen eye for details
  • You will need to be experienced in testing software APIs and UI using C++/C#, .NET and Python
  • A quick learner and willing to take new challenges

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $65,200 and $95,590. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
