Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking an experienced insights professional to join our Audience Insights team in the Worldwide Marketing Organization. As an Audience Insights Manager, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a variety of research and strategy projects that influence both short-term and long-term business decisions. In this role, you will partner with go-to-market stakeholders to grasp their core challenges, form hypotheses, and translate them into research and analysis requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of understanding and executing research, along with experience with market intelligence data and methodologies.

We are seeking someone who has natural curiosity in understanding customer needs and behavior; is able to provide meaning behind the data; and believes in the power of storytelling to develop actionable insights and business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate and process data from multiple studies, including market research data, strategy narratives, customer transaction history, and visitor website activity, to create coherent and compelling stories
  • Articulate business needs and help push hypotheses generation with core business partners
  • Craft visually impactful reports and presentations, effectively communicating complex data stories to stakeholders
  • Demonstrate flexibility to quickly respond to ad hoc analytic or research requests common in this dynamic, fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Execute both qualitative and quantitative research projects. Using methodologies including focus groups, interviews, and surveys that generate insights and guidance for our different audiences
  • Size markets and opportunities, leveraging competitive intelligence to inform business decisions, and understanding industry trends

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 to 4 years of professional experience, working in insights, market research and/or market intelligence roles
  • Knowledge of market research techniques (focus groups, interviews, community forums, online surveys, etc.), survey design, sampling plans and analysis, discussion guide creation, qual and quant research data analysis and data visualization
  • Ideally, knowledge of market datasets such as the Total Addressed Market or competitive intelligence
  • Experience working closely with data; working through multiple data points and bring the results to life in an easy-to-digest story
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal, with clear examples of presentation work. Also, able to adapt communication style to persuade stakeholders across the business
  • Ability to travel 10%, including internationally
  • A passion for data and analysis, with a curiosity to get to the root of a problem and solve it
  • Familiarity with the architecture, construction, design and manufacturing, and/or media and entertainment industries preferred
