ATS Scientific Products is searching for a Technical Support & Parts Specialist to support the daily operations through technical support & parts sales to our customers and service personnel for equipment manufactured by SP Scientific.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promote customer satisfaction.
- Provide remote customer and field service engineer technical support via phone and e-mail.
- Parts sales - identify, quote and process parts orders in CRM & ERP.
- Remain current on technical and process knowledge to properly support SP Scientific products.
- Provide input to improve system design, performance, and technical documentation.
- Inform customers of and promote SP Scientific products and services.
- Work independently with moderate supervision.
- Travel to customer or vendor sites as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Refrigeration.

- Familiarity and use of test equipment.

- Understanding of technical instructions, functional design specifications, general arrangement, electrical and P&I schematics.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Degree or Certificate from approved two year college or technical school in related field, five years related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals. Effective writing skills to produce reports, correspondence, etc.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands such as operating hand tools, power tools, and moderate lifting may occasionally be required. Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Use of hands to handle, finger and feel objects. Use of hands to handle tools and controls. Use of arms and hands to climb and balance. Use of the following senses: sight (close, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception), hearing, talking, taste and smell. Lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally moving larger objects with assistance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
