Team: Core Engineering Reliability Team
Team Focus: Proactive and Reactive Incident management and Post-incident management to prevent major incidents and reduce Time to Detect, Time to Recover, and Time to Communicate to customers. This is a Level 1 OKR for the company.
- Lead a team of 12-15 engineers (frontend, backend, data, and process) in the Core Engineering Reliability Team.

- Focus on proactive and reactive incident management to prevent major incidents and reduce detection, recovery, and communication times.
- Manage technical leads and engineers to build tools and processes used across the organisation and operate services that enhance incident management.
- Develop and implement advanced incident management protocols.
- Minimise downtime and improve recovery times through system development.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across the company to integrate incident management processes smoothly.
- Use data and feedback to improve incident management practices.
- Communicate incident status and resolution efforts to customers, enhancing trust and satisfaction.
You will report to the Head of Engineering of Reliability.

Your Background:
- 5+ years of experience managing large software engineering teams (typically more than 10 engineers).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science
- Proficiency in one or more prominent programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React) with experience leading teams that develop scalable services.
- Understanding of the SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS industries, with hands-on experience in public cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Ability to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and overall operational excellence
