Global Navigation is a new program within the Global Experiences organisation. Our mission is to build and operate a delightful navigation experience for customers who work across the Atlassian suite of products. This is a ground floor opportunity for a Senior Engineering Manager to hire a new team of engineers and to take us from proof of concept through to production readiness and operation for a series of new navigation experiences. You will manage a growing team of engineers of various levels and will partner closely with designers, product managers, and peer engineering teams to identify and execute against the biggest opportunities for this space.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Master's degree in Computer Science preferred
- Industry experience working as a hands-on engineering manager, managing a team of engineers
- At least 12 years of industry experience as a backend or full stack engineer
- At least 4 years of experience building distributed systems for a SaaS product
- At least 4 years of experience with true continuous delivery to a production system
- At least 4 years of Project Management driving multi-team projects
- Experience leading Engineering teams for a Saas product without QA teams / Deep understanding of SaaS product quality control
- Familiarity with industry-standard monitoring systems (e.g.: Splunk, DataDog, New Relic, etc.)
- Passionate about mentoring engineers and helping others achieve their career goals
