Atlassian's #1 OKR is shifting our customers to cloud and the Enterprise Migration Team builds product and platform capabilities that make this shift to cloud possible for our customers. Atlassian's mission is to get cloud-ready for every customer. We have migrated some of our customers to cloud and the journey has started. However, we need to solve this problem at scale.

About Migration Product
Enterprise customers consider the capability to move large amounts of data from server to cloud, within and outside their cloud site as an important functionality for getting ready to use Atlassian's cloud offerings. Migration Product owns software and products that enable the customers to seamlessly move from the server/DC onto the cloud. The products help analyse the current customer setup, help them plan for transferring data accumulated over years from physical machine to the cloud and ensure end to end completeness of the migration for all entities across all owned products. While we have built tools to make this possible, however, we have a long way to go in order to make the tools scalable, improve customer experience, launch in multiple regions, make them highly performant and reliable as well as enable them to be enterprise grade themselves.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will work closely with our design and product management as well as architecture teams to influence the direction of the product and plan the steps to get there. You'll be responsible for building effective teams, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into broader context. Your greatest responsibility will be looking after the individuals reporting to you coaching and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel. As a hands on engineering leader, you will also contribute to the engineering and operational practices and bring in a continuous improvement mindset.
Team Scope
As a senior engineering manager, you will bring in your rich technical and leadership experience in driving a team of 2-3 scrum teams. The overall span of the team would be 12-20 and would be the front line manager role, to start with. As a senior leader, you will work closely with multiple principal engineers, mentor and coach engineers. You will not only drive impactful business outcomes, but also take part actively in driving the technical architecture. As a seasoned leader, you will bring in world class engineering excellence and operational excellence. You'll also thrive in a challenging and growing business environment that has ambiguity, multiple global dependency footprint and diverse stakeholders.
