Senior Content Strategy & Customer Experience Manager

We are looking for a Senior Content Strategy & Customer Experience Manager to join the Customer Segment Team within our Marketing division. In this role, the Senior Content Strategy & Customer Experience Manager will be responsible for transforming athenahealth’s Thrive Summit event from a three-day annual conference into an ongoing, year-round customer engagement and learning experience. This role will develop and execute a strategic content experience that keeps customers engaged pre-, during, and post-Thrive through a variety of channels, including webinars, podcasts, and thought leadership materials. By ensuring a seamless and impactful content strategy, the Senior Content Strategy & Customer Experience Manager will help drive customer engagement, brand affinity, and return attendance at Thrive.

Job Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling narratives for key customer programs and events including Thrive Summit that align with overall marketing objectives and strengthens customer loyalty. 

  • Develop and execute a year-round content strategy that extends Thrive beyond a single event, incorporating webinars, podcasts, digital content, and other learning opportunities.

  • Own and drive the customer experience, ensuring all content and engagement initiatives align with broader company objectives.

  • Oversee the content experience for Thrive Summit, including creation of breakout sessions and expo hall content and assist with main stage programming.

  • Lead speaker recruitment, management and training for all breakout sessions and manage the creation and delivery of high-quality presentations that drive audience engagement.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams on all Thrive-related content initiatives, ensuring timely distribution of information (e.g., FAQs, experience maps, session overviews).

  • Partner with the Operations team to refine content workflows, optimize event content management, and support post-event content repurposing.

  • Develop and manage attendee feedback mechanisms, including surveys and post-event evaluations, to assess content effectiveness and evolving customer needs.

Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in content strategy, event management, or customer engagement within a B2B or SaaS environment.

  • Experience in the healthcare, health tech or similarly regulated environment preferred.

  • Ability to transform business priorities, market trends and product innovation into compelling narratives for marketing programs and events.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-channel content programs that drive customer engagement.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent storytelling, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Experience with event content platforms (e.g., Cvent), digital content distribution tools, and survey platforms
