Introduction to the Job

ASML is seeking a Technical Project Lead to join the Wilton, Connecticut development location as we break new ground in the emerging field of photolithography. As ASML pushes the boundaries of Nano-technology beyond current state of the art, we have a need to develop high precision equipment while maintaining a focus on cost effectiveness and reliability.

A well-rounded Technical Project Lead in this position will drive delivery of precision mechatronics modules, product and system integration and software functionality, all specific to ASML lithography tools. The candidate should have experience with the ASML Project Generation Process, design, test and qualification of complex systems, mechanical system layout, configuration management and supplier hardware management.

You will also be part of the larger Development and Engineering (DE) sector - where the design and engineering of ASML products happens.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Technical Project Lead, you will:
  • Lead the Hi NA EXE MBTM, Test Rig and Top Frame Functional Engineering Team in Wilton DE
  • Lead multi-disciplined development team of 15+ Engineers to deliver project scope
  • Report on regular basis to Project Cluster Manager and Product Development Manager
  • Develop both short and long term project plans, resources and material requirements
  • Manage project budget, system configuration workflow, BOM and ECN process
  • Manage project design and risks with core leadership team and cross sector
  • Ability to define project impact statements due to scope and business changes
  • Develop team members (e.g. providing work direction, feedback, coaching, etc.) and securing resources for Target Annual Planning (TAP)
  • Present project team deliverables, risks and strategy during project review days
  • Responsible for end to end ownership of your project
  • Maintain project performance metrics to measure progress
  • Some travel (up to 10%) within the US and internationally can be expected

Education and Experience

To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you will need experience working on high-tech products and with complex processes.

As a Technical Project Lead, you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar Engineering degree
  • 3+ years or experience in a team leadership role
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in a mechanical and/or mechatronics/robotics intensive environment
  • Previous experience within the semiconductor industry or precision engineering field preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good planning and analytical skills, ability to lead multifunctional teams
  • Proven success in team or task management
  • Able to "lead", not just, "manage" a team
  • Takes initiative by showing strong ownership and commitment
  • Clear decision maker and well-organized
  • Ability to multitask and make quick priority calls on a daily basis

Other Information
  • This position is located on-site in Wilton, Connecticut. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation
  • A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to 2 days a week)

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
