Senior Site Safety Manager

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic senior leader to take on a new role for the site directing Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and Process Optimization teams at the ASML Wilton site and support locations across North America. This role is critical in ensuring the integration and alignment of these three functional areas to drive compliance with legal and customer obligations, continuous improvement and operational excellence in manufacturing and support functions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for EHS, Quality, and Process Optimization.
    • Lead and mentor a team of professionals across these functional areas.
    • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the departments and with other critical stakeholders as well.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align departmental goals with site, regional and corporate objectives.
    • Monitor industry trends and best practices and implement, tailoring to the ASML culture, to ensure ASML North American manufacturing teams continue to grow and expand their competitive advantages over competitors holistically across the three functional areas.
    • Facilitate lean training, actions and outcomes across manufacturing and support functions.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement EHS programs and initiatives to promote a safe working environment. A special focus will be placed on the successful creation and launch of campus-based emergency response teams.
  • Define, conduct and assess regular EHS audits and risk assessments.
  • Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide training and resources to employees to enhance EHS awareness and practices.
  • Quality Management:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of quality management systems.
    • Ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
    • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reporting systems.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and customers to address quality-related concerns and improvements.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to drive process optimization.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement.
    • Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement projects.
    • Implement new technologies and systems to streamline operations and improve productivity.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in EHS, Quality, and Process Optimization within a manufacturing environment.
    • Proven track record of successfully integrating and managing these functional areas.
    • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and quality management systems.
    • Experience in the semiconductor manufacturing and capital equipment manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
    • Experience leading engineering, manufacturing and/or facilities teams is preferred.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

    This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
