This role will be part of the R&D Mechanical Engineering team and will play a key role providing leadership, technical and oversight support in the designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical components and assemblies for our robotic surgical platforms. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, this individual will be responsible for creating innovative solutions that meet the demanding requirements of surgical precision, reliability, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct activities relating to the designing, building, testing and evaluation of surgical device systems.
- Apply extensive technical expertise and full awareness of other related disciplines to solve complex technical problems
- Write advanced technical reports and test plans
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure part specifications are achieved

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years relevant work experience in R&D or product development
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks
- Solid comprehension of material selection and manufacturing techniques
- Medical device background
- Understanding of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, MDR guidelines)
