The Manager, Strategy and Development will drive high-level strategic initiatives at the direction of the Senior Director, Strategy and Development.
This role will focus on projects that drive strategic and operational planning, market development, product portfolio planning, market research, and forecasting. The position will be responsible for creating business models and developing high-level market entry strategies for potential new opportunities that are consistent with the overall business strategy.
The individual will work closely with upstream and downstream marketing functions as well as Commercial, Finance, Operations, and R&D Teams. This position will also play an integral role in the ongoing transformation and integration work with KARL STORZ, Asensus's parent company.

Responsibilities
- Drive day-to-day operations and oversee execution of cross-functional company objectives
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to achieve critical business outcomes
- Lead key strategic and operational planning processes
- Work closely with Senior Leadership Team and Functional Leads to develop crossfunctional operational reporting
- Support development of commercial analysis of new product ideas, with particular emphasis on competitive analysis, scenario analysis, and key market issues
- Contribute to market/innovation strategy and planning efforts for providing solutions to strengthen and increase market share
- Translate business direction and critical deliverables
- Support the management of partnership and business development relationships
- Support the development of departmental goals in line with company objectives
- Prepare internal and external presentations, working closely with content owners
- All other duties as directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or related discipline
- MBA is required
- 3-5 years of business experience in the medical device or related life science industry with at least 3 years in product and/or market management
- Experience in strategic analysis in a medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech or related life science company
- Experience handling Executive level time-sensitive and confidential business information/challenges
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data
- Ability to anticipate and respond quickly as new opportunities and customer situations arise
- Experience in interpreting and/or conducting market research and knowledge of healthcare markets
- Occasional international travel required
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries to build alignment and drive closure on issues
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate through uncertain situations to drive for clarity
- Ability to prioritize effectively to manage multiple, changing priorities
- Well-developed business acumen
