The Product Management team drives Asana’s product strategy and execution, translating customer needs and opportunities into a compelling roadmap and working cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions for team productivity and collaboration. We’re helping to define the Work Management category and inventing new ways for teams to work more efficiently together and see the larger purpose behind their work. Our team works directly with Engineering, Design, Experience Research, and Data Science, as well as with Sales, Support, and Marketing to ship great products. You’ll take part in every type of product work here — from strategy to product to process improvements — conceptualizing, launching, and iterating on Asana itself for millions of teams around the world.

As part of Asana's AI organization, this person will play a key role in prioritizing high impact work at the intersection of customer problems and rapidly improving technology. This team is charged with innovating Asana’s role as the coordination layer for work – leveraging data from within and outside Asana to deliver insights that accelerate organizations’ progress, and supercharge adoption and expansion. This high-impact, high-visibility role will directly influence Asana's evolution, requiring exceptional strategic leadership, deep customer empathy, and the ability to transform ambitious ideas into reality through cross-functional partnership. We're searching for someone who can navigate ambiguity, think at a transformative scale, and propel Asana towards new frontiers in the AI era.
This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. About you
- 10+ years of product management experience, including driving strategic, high-impact initiatives
- Proven entrepreneurial skills with a blend of vision, execution, and grit to traverse ambiguous problem spaces and cut through complexity.
- Exceptional at breaking down ambiguous problems and driving towards clarity using structured thinking
- Excellent customer empathy. Ability to deeply understand user needs as well as intuitively guide solutions towards highly usable, adoptable experiences. You love spending time with customers and iterating on product solutions with them.
- Passionate about the future of AI/ML and loves consuming the latest research and trends
- Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities to inspire stakeholders. Concise clear guidance (verbal and written) is a strength of yours.
- Track record of earning trust and buy-in while partnering across functions and groups.
- Comfortable making tough tradeoffs and prioritization decisions in a dynamic environment

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $202,000 - $316,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
