- Analog & Digital Hardware Design for new fire alarm products and support existing product lines.
- Embedded system designs, Small Signal and Instrumentation Circuitry, Switch Mode Power Supplies, Front Panel User Interfaces, Audio Amplifiers, Peer-To-Peer Networking, Linear Power Supplies, Sensors And Detectors, And Fiber Optics.
- Research new technology that can be used within these products.
- Cross-working closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and system integrators, to ensure seamless integration of control systems into the overall product.
What we are looking for:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 6+ years of experience in electronics design related to analog, power, audio, or embedded products/systems, circuit design, system bring-up, integration testing, and debug
- Discrete electronic component-level knowledge and experience
- Experience with electronic CAD (schematic capture, circuit simulation, or related).
- Ability to work well with others in a Team environment that spans multiple countries.
- Experience in several of the following topics: low-power circuit design, DC/DC converters, power management methods, audio circuit design, high speed signals, and analog design
- Experience with microcontrollers, digital circuit design and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc.(any 2-3)
- Experience with design tools Mentor Graphics Xpedition or Altium or Cadence.
- Experience working with firmware/software teams to define and implement firmware, drivers and algorithms.
