Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Software Architect to join our team in Japan.

This role involves working on-site with our customer in Atsugi, Kanagawa. The

successful candidate will be responsible for defining the overall architecture and design

working closely with our customer on next generation SW Product platforms. Within an

international environment, the SW Architect is responsible for the modular and

standardized architecture of the software platform and their deployment on application

projects.

• Owner of SW Architecture ASPICE process area SWE2 definition, development, and

deployment including architecture of Application SW done in MBD following customer's

Process standards.
• Define the solution with modularity, reuse and testability in mind, anticipates

extensions and modifications in future stages
• Provide strong documentation and specifications of Architecture SW (Static, Dynamic,

Design alternatives, CPU load optimization)
• Support the offshore BSW teams related to BSW Architecture & Interfaces between

ASW (Application Software) & BSW (Basic Software)
• Guide and mentor team members in the implementation of the solutions
• Support validation team on definition of integration test strategy
• Communicate early and often about any significant events or issues affecting the team

or delivery schedule and quality
• Improve processes or propose improvement where applicable
• Ensures building components with a modular approach that supports reusability

across different platforms in collaboration with global SW teams.

Key qualifications:
• Degree in computer science and/or electronics
• 10 years of experience in Software engineering with at least 5 years in automotive

industry within projects using MBD development in AUTOSAR context.
• 5 years of experience as a SW Architect
• Experience in full lifecycle software development of real time embedded software

projects
• Experience in Critical safety SW architecture activities such SW Safety decomposition,

Freedom from interference, E-GAS concepts, and SW safety critical path analysis ASIL

C / ASIL D.

Technical skills:
• Expertise in software architecture (static and dynamic architecture)
• Strong knowledge on embedded C language development
• Strong knowledge on A-SPICE processes.
• Good knowledge of ISO26262-6 and AUTOSAR standards.
• Good knowledge of UML tools like Enterprise Architect
• Good Knowledge of Matlab Simulink & MBD SW engineering process
• Knowledge on electronics and in particular on microcontroller architecture
• Knowledge of tools: DOORS, Doors NG, SVN, Jira.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Soft skills:
• Fluency in Japanese is a must.
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Collaboration and team spirit.
• Leadership and ability to unite.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
