The Lead Server plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences in our restaurant. Acting as a team leader, this individual is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, mentoring team members, and ensuring smooth dining room operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a deep knowledge of food and beverage service, and a strong ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and poise.

Employees are responsible for knowing the environmental aspects and associated impacts of their job position. Job specific Environmental Aspects and Impacts will be communicated by Dept. Managers during EMS training.
Job Responsibilities
1. Guest Service
- Deliver exceptional dining experiences by anticipating and responding promptly to guest needs.
- Handle guest concerns and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction.
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, dietary restrictions, and pairings, to assist guests in making informed choices.
2. Team Leadership
- Act as the primary point of contact for servers during shifts, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Train and mentor new and existing servers, ensuring adherence to service standards.
- Monitor server performance, providing constructive feedback and promoting professional growth.
3. Operations Management
- Oversee table assignments and ensure a balanced workload among servers.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and server stations.
4. Sales and Upselling
- Promote specials, signature dishes, and beverage pairings to maximize sales.
- Encourage the team to achieve individual and collective sales goals through effective upselling strategies.
5. Compliance and Safety
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and service standards at all times.

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a server in a high-volume restaurant; leadership experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with POS systems, food safety standards, and wine/beverage pairing.
- Attitude: Positive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence in guest service.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
