Job Description

As the Vice President ? US Controller, you will be responsible for managing quarter and month-end procedures, controllership functions, compliance with corporate policies, and the US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) reporting for Aramark?s United States operations. You will provide financial leadership and oversight across the enterprise including building key relationships with leaders within the United States. You will have oversight of each Line of Business Accounting Director and work very closely with the CFO US Food & Support Services, and the VP Finance/CFO of each Line of Business relating to U.S. accounting and policy matters. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Finance & the CFO - US Food and Facilities.

Job Responsibilities

? Lead the US Accounting Function by partnering with Accounting and Finance leadership to ensure consistency in accounting and financial reporting policies and practices in accordance with US GAAP
? Partner with Corporate and US Centralized Accounting leadership to drive global consistency
? Ensure compliance with all Aramark policies, regulations, and laws where applicable.
? Partner with each Line of Business leadership team to understand unique business and accounting issues, and ensure appropriate internal control and reconciliation procedures are in place, including reviewing the reconciliation of material and/or highly judgmental accounts
? Partner with each Line of Business Vice President of Finance/CFO to review and report accounting issues, drive consistent accounting and reporting and participate as appropriate in planning and forecasting activities
? Direct and manage quarter and month-end close procedures and accounting activities
? Perform or review required control procedures in accordance with SOX
? Supervise Line of Business Accounting Directors and their staff by offering general day to day feedback and instructing on best practices related to technical accounting issues
? Assist in assessing, training, and developing the accounting team to build a deep technical knowledge in US GAAP and accounting policies
? Support with the due diligence of merger and acquisition targets as well as the integration of acquired businesses
? Participate with IT on new systems implementations or upgrades to ensure consistency and accuracy of transactions

Qualifications

Bachelor?s degree in Accounting and previous experience in a ?Big 4? Accounting firm
? CPA required
? Ability to travel 10-20%
? 10+ years of experience in a corporate accounting environment
? 10+ years of experience managing an Accounting team
? Solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting theory
? Experience with Oracle ERP and Blackline, or similar applications
? Visionary leader with strong ability to prioritize, plan, lead and implement projects
? Executive presence; ability to work effectively with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, utilizing strong written and oral communications
? Excellent communication and presentation skills with a wide range of audiences including clients, front line managers, C-level leaders (headquarters and sector)
? Ability to understand complex accounting matters, complex statutory financial statements and troubleshoot issues
? Experience with organization transformation process improvement
? Strong analytical skills, creativity, and flexibility
? Capability of handling/managing confidential material with discretion
? Ability to grasp a complex business at a base level and use this understanding to set overall strategy and drive business process improvement
