Job Description

Orders, receives, stores and issues food and non-food items in an accurate and efficient manner and maintains records of same. Performs a variety of transport and sanitation functions.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains friendly, efficient, Spirit of Service attitude towards customers, co-workers and clients.
• Checks delivered food and non-food items for quality and quantity to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
• May deliver food trucks to floors, South Side Coffee Shop and Linden Oaks.
• Determines method of storage, identification and stock location considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, and floor loading capacities and required space and other proper storage procedures.
• Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock and complies reports of use of stock. Accepts, rejects or notes discrepancy of products when not in compliance with standards.
• Places all food, supply, and smallwares orders for the Food and Nutrition Department
• Taking and recording temperatures on incoming orders.
• Unloading deliveries and placing stock in storeroom or refrigerators/freezers.
• Maintains all storage areas so that they are clean and organized
• Disposes of trash and garbage in appropriate manner as needed.
• Adheres to all departmental sanitation procedures.
• Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe environment.
• Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations.
• Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of patient/resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient/resident population.
• Maintains compliance with ARAMARK?s standards of operation, client and within ARAMARK?s Business Conduct Policy. Maintains all records and reports necessary to regulations and codes.
• Maintains compliance with all requirements of Federal, State and local regulations and guidelines including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended.

• Position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Prior storeroom experience is desired.
• Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.
• Ability to apply elementary math functions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
