Job Description

The Special Projects Coordinator will provide support to various organizational initiatives, including managing DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs, leading sustainability efforts, handling social media content, and overseeing other assigned special projects. This role requires excellent project management skills, the ability to multitask, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about driving organizational change in line with company goals and values. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and implementation of the company's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. Collaborate with leadership to establish and manage an oversight committee to monitor DEI programs and ensure they align with organizational objectives. Track and report on DEI progress, collecting data to support decision-making and continuous improvement. Develop and manage communication efforts around DEI goals, initiatives, and outcomes.
  • Create, schedule, and post content on social media platforms to promote company initiatives, events, and engagement efforts. Ensure alignment between the company's brand and social media messaging. Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and engage with audiences to increase visibility. Track social media metrics and provide reports on performance.
  • Support the development and execution of sustainability initiatives that align with company goals. Assist in promoting and implementing environmentally responsible practices within the organization. Collaborate with departments to drive sustainability projects and ensure initiatives are communicated both internally and externally. Track and report on the progress of sustainability efforts, providing suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the coordination of various special projects as assigned, providing administrative and logistical support. Communicate project goals, timelines, and deliverables to relevant stakeholders. Work across departments to ensure the successful execution of projects within deadlines. Prepare reports and presentations to update leadership on project status.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with DEI and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
  • Experience managing social media accounts, including content creation and performance tracking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written with accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build relationships with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and project management tools.
  • 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, social media management, or related areas preferred.
  • Flexibility in work hours may be required to accommodate project timelines.

Bachelors preferred
