Job Description
The Sous Chef is a key member of the kitchen team, responsible for assisting the Culinary & Hospitality Manager in the overall management and operation of the kitchen. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and consistency, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Job Responsibilities
? Trains and leads kitchen personnel
? Supervises/coordinates all related culinary activities
? Estimates food consumption and requisition or purchase food
? Selects and develops recipes and standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality

? Establishes presentation technique and quality standards, and plans and prices menus
? Ensures proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen
? Oversees special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques
? Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to minimize waste.
? Interact daily with clientele in a professional manner.

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Education: Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Attributes: Passion for cooking, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
