Job Description
The Registered Dietitian I will combine expertise in food, nutrition, and the culinary arts. They will plan and implement nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and wellness within the campus community, provide nutrition information for on-campus dining locations, counsels individuals, provides nutrition-related services to individuals and groups, develops handouts and other materials to support nutrition programming and spread nutrition education and awareness through educational tabling events, cooking demonstrations, lecture presentations, health fairs, and other on-campus programming.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $75,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
Scope of Role:
- Provides on-site support and interacts daily with those students and guests with specific dietary needs.
- Develops recipes based on specific nutrition guidelines and/or ingredients.
- Provides head notes, footnotes, and other copy to accompany recipes.
- Analyzes menus and/or meal plans to meet specific nutrition guidelines.
- Provides content editing of recipes, head notes, nutrient analyses, and accompanying text.
- Develops and/or contributes recipes and copy for food industry marketing materials (e.g. website, brochures, etc.).
- Provides culinary and nutrition instruction.
- Offers nutrition-based information with a focus on health to professional and/or consumer audiences.
Nutrition Counseling:
- Conducts one-on-one nutrition counseling and consultations for consumers with special dietary needs, enabling students to assume more personal responsibility for their health and helping them make their own determinations on what to and not to eat.
- Provides nutrition education and counseling to individuals and groups.
- Works with the culinary team to ensure students dietary needs are being accommodated. Arranges for specially prepared meals, purchases prepackaged foods, or sources special accommodations when daily menu offerings do not meet students specific, documented dietary needs.
- Works with student accessibility and disability services and campus health services for proper student registration and medical documentation as it pertains to meal plan exemptions and accommodations.
- Provides individual tours to students and parents to familiarize them with dining locations and to identify options related to students' specific conditions and dietary needs and restrictions.
- Follows HIPAA and FERPA guidelines throughout the entire nutrition counseling process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree in food science, culinary arts, clinical nutrition, food and nutrition, or related area, granted from a U.S. regionally-accredited college or university.
- Registered Dietitian with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
- Minimum of 2 years? experience in nutritional counseling, food service, student nutrition or hospitality preferred.
