Job Description
The Regional Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for conducting contracting activities, managing suppliers and distributors and conducting related supply chain activities. This role requires to take a strategic approach towards conducting sourcing initiatives, effectively managing partner relationships, articulating Avendra?s value proposition and approach, prioritizing simultaneous objectives and meeting project timelines while working independently in a field environment.
The Regional Manager has multiple responsibilities and plays a key role in the Strategic Sourcing organization. Among those responsibilities are: (1) understanding Avendra?s value proposition and developing sound supply chain approaches based on that value proposition, (2) managing supply chain strategies for regional categories, (3) managing the supplier relationship for all assigned master food distributors and local regional contracts, (4) collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure contracts achieve maximum value, (5) working closely with customers and Field Support to enhance supplier services, expand Avendra?s offerings and increase participation in programs.

This position will be based in the field and will oversee several states
Location preference: This position will be overseeing the West region. The ideal candidate will be based out of one of the following states: Arizona, Utah or Seattle.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead Business Ownership activity for their portfolio of contracts. Manage suppliers for negotiated contracts that service customers within geography.
- Advise on local purchasing practices and advocate to integrate them into Avendra?s approach in order to develop a best-in-country offering.
- Responsible for assigned master food distribution program compliance
- Planning and completion of contract planWith Regional Director oversight, draft and gain approval for all contracting strategy and gain the ability to independently drive the initiative.
- Utilize a deep understanding of relevant supply markets including distribution channels, cost structures, economics, trends, etc.
- Conduct sourcing events which may include the direct involvement of local customers to establish relevant, impactful offerings.
- With Regional Director support conduct supplier negotiation and pricing strategy development efforts for assigned supplier agreements.
- Maintain awareness of contracting status; update leadership on a regular basis Act as the sourcing technical expert in client meetings; demonstrate product/service technical knowledge; call in technical experts when required.
- Respond to contract ownership issues within region as appropriate, e.g., address competitive issues within categories, pricing strategies, allowances, supplier performance, innovation, etc.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other Avendra resources in the field (FSCRs and QA) to ensure client needs are met.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Business Ownership, Account Management, Sales, etc) as needed, while keeping the focus on completing initiatives and managing suppliers
- Act as a positive role model: share experience, identify and encourage use of best practices, make sure team prioritizes work, make thoughtful judgments during initiative execution and supplier negotiations.
- Establish a collaborative culture with team members; ensure team interacts constructively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the training and development of associates to ensure they have effective communication and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

- Strong technical sourcing knowledge; excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project management capabilities
- Strong analytical thinking that leads to objective, fact-based decision making
- Ability to develop contracts that meet clients? business needs.
- Ability to build strong relationships with all levels within Avendra, Clients and with Suppliers
Overnight Travel Requirements. Type: All modes of transportation , percentage 10-25% , length: 1-2 nights
Years of Relevant Experience. 5-8+ years of experience
Education Requirements. BS/BA in relevant field or equivalent years' experience.
Benefits
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position ranges from $85,000-$95,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of the posting.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
