Job Description

The Preventative Maintenance Technician will perform prescribed preventative maintenance and minor repair services on all floor care-related equipment and components.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares inventory of equipment and attaches labels to record relevant data
  • Assists in setting up Preventative Maintenance schedules and data collection
  • Inspects machinery in operation to assure proper functioning, including checking pressures and temperatures
  • Perform minor repairs as required
  • Maintains oil and grease machinery and adjust and renews belts, cleans traps, and strainers; changes filter media
  • Completes technician report of work perform; Cleans equipment used and equipment room on a rotating schedule
  • Trains other team members on proper usage, care, and required maintenance of equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Must have the ability to travel from site to site using a company vehicle

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:

  • Two (2) years of experience in floor care equipment maintenance required.
  • Ability to independently follow through and prioritize workloads in order to meet deadlines while working in a service-oriented environment.
  • Must be computer literate and encompass knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Substantial skill in maintenance and repair procedures including preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Must possess flexibility towards work assignments and be a team player. Must comply with all applicable safety and local rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Must possess a valid driver?s license
