Job Description

The Manager, Accounts Receivable is responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and reconciliation of accounts. This role focuses on optimizing processes, managing a team, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting the company?s financial objectives. Will also serve as the point of contact for resolving escalated billing and payment disputes and build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and timely collections. Develops and implements strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts receivable processes, while leveraging technology and tools to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy. Establishes and maintains internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Job Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Operations:

  • Manage the entire accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely posting of payments and adjustments to customer accounts.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to reduce delinquency.
  • Implement and maintain credit policies and procedures to ensure appropriate customer risk management.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present accounts receivable reports, including aging analysis, collection metrics, and bad debt projections, to senior management.
  • Analyze trends and recommend actions to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding balances.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent are a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial operations
  • Experience in contract managed services a plus
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, credit policies, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Limited travel may be required to meet with customers or attend company meetings
