Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the hourly hiring process and provide essential HR administrative support. This role will be responsible for conducting new hire orientations, completing I-9 verifications, assisting with payroll processing, and serving as a key point of contact for HR-related inquiries. Additionally, the HR Assistant will help with other HR-related tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the department.

Salary range: $50,000 - $55,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day HR functions including recruiting, staffing, hiring, training, development, coaching, incentives, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Support the hourly hiring process, including partnering with Talent Acquisition, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Handle I-9 verification and compliance requirements.
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing and assist with employee timekeeping inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and assist with general HR administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 1-2 years of HR experience required (HR coordination, recruiting, payroll, or related experience preferred) in office setting and administrative functions, experience in HR preferred, ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to create, plan and manage creative HR strategies
  • Knowledge of EEO laws and general HR policies
  • Use of Computer, Telephone, Copier, Scanner, Label Maker, Shredder required

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
