We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our seasonal operation. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will set the tone for a welcoming dining experience. You will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction. Your role is crucial in maintaining a warm, friendly, and professional atmosphere, while managing restaurant capacity effectively.

Located just 7 miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park, the Denali Park Village Hotel operates from May to September. Our guests enjoy comfortable accommodations, exceptional dining options, and live entertainment in a stunning natural setting.

Position Details: This exciting seasonal role is available from May 8 - September 17, 2025. We offer competitive wages, comfortable on-site housing, and a variety of fun activities to keep your summer vibrant. Stay active in our on-site gym and enjoy an inclusive meal plan for just $15 a day.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greets guests as they arrive seat them accordingly ensuring the optimum use of tables.
  • Ensures any special needs or requests for diners are accommodated and arranged.
  • Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the front-of-house environment.
  • Escalates any guest needs or concerns as necessary.
  • Assist with answering phone calls and taking reservations as needed.
  • Works closely with the kitchen staff and servers optimizing communication to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintains excellent guest service and positive demeanor towards guests, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adaptable to guest needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the entrance and host area.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

  • Previous host/hostess or food service experience preferred
  • Demonstrates excellent guest service skills
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • The ideal candidate has a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Enjoys working in a lively environment
  • Must be able to obtain food safety certification
  • This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
