Job Description
Aventura Catering, a premium division of Aramark, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at the Phoenix Convention Center.
- This role will focus primarily on the bar program while overseeing food and beverage operations to ensure guests receive exceptional service in a safe and enjoyable environment.
- You will be responsible for managing daily operations, staff, and inventory, as well as developing strategies to enhance guest experiences and drive revenue.
Job Responsibilities
? Bar Program Oversight: Oversee the preparation, presentation, and service of all beverages, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.

? Staff Management: Train, supervise, and evaluate food and beverage staff, including bartenders, servers, and other team members. Ensure employees provide excellent customer service and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
? Menu Development: Develop and implement beverage menus, promotions, and specials to enhance the guest experience and drive revenue.
? Inventory & Ordering: Manage inventory and ordering of beverage supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
? Financial Management: Reconcile daily sales and track expenses to ensure adherence to budget and profitability.
? Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all food and beverage operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards related to food service and alcohol management.
? Vendor Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services.
? Event Support: Participate in event planning and execution, ensuring the food and bar areas are well-stocked and properly staffed for events and functions.
Qualifications
? At least 3 years of experience in food and beverage management.
? At least 3 years of experience in bar operations.
? Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing a diverse team of staff.
? Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
? Proven ability to manage budgets, financial records, and track performance metrics.
? In-depth knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and beverage service.
? Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and alcohol service.
? Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
? Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick, effective decisions.
