Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Korean Specialty Cook to bring your passion for Korean cuisine to our team.
As a Korean Specialty Cook, you're primarily responsible for assisting with preparing and cooking traditional and modern Korean cuisine, such as kimchi, bulgogi, bibimbap, and many more. This involves marinating meat, preparing rice, creating sauces and mixes, and perfectly cooking all meal elements.
COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $25.00 to $30.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.?

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, including cutting, chopping, marinating, and seasoning, as directed by the chef.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including cleaning workstations and equipment.
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report shortages to the chef.
- Assist in plating and presentation of dishes.
- Learn and develop skills in preparing authentic Korean side dishes (banchan) and sauces.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager.

Qualifications
- Proven Korean cooking experience.
- Knowledge of Korean cuisine.
- Must be able to speak Korean and reading/writing is not required but a plus.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions carefully.
- Good knife skills and basic knowledge of kitchen equipment.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
