Job Description

Aramark is currently seeking a Catering Manager to support the Cleveland Zoo. The Catering Manager is a key leadership role responsible for leading catering operations to implement all events in line with customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute catering operations solutions to meet customers? needs
• Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport, providing creative solutions to clients' needs
• Create, manage, and communicate banquet event orders, deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
• Recruit, schedule, train and direct employees to ensure standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation and service
• Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables, deliver sales, food, and labor targets and maintaining department budgets
• Ensure compliance with all food, occupational and environmental safety policies

• Bachelor?s degree preferred or at least 3 years of related experience required
• Previous experience in a supervisor or manager level role in special events, hospitality, or catering required
• Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships required
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication and client relation skills
• Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team dynamic
• Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must have availability to work event-based hours including evening, weekend, and potentially holiday hours
