Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented Hotel Bellman to join our team at The Denali Park Village Hotel. As a Bellman, you will be a key part of creating a memorable guest experience by offering friendly, efficient, and personalized assistance. The Bell staff is highly visible on resort grounds, lobby, parking lot, and readily available to assist hotel guests with luggage, resort information and other requests. Bell Staff must maintain high level of professionalism and provide excellent guest services to all visitors.

Located just 7 miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park, the Denali Park Village Hotel operates from May to September. Our guests enjoy comfortable accommodations, exceptional dining options, and live entertainment in a stunning natural setting.

Position Details: This exciting seasonal role is available from May to Mid-September, 2025. We offer competitive wages, comfortable on-site housing, and a variety of fun activities to keep your summer vibrant. Stay active in our on-site gym and enjoy an inclusive meal plan for just $15 a day.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide luggage assistance and other services to all hotel guests.
  • Bring room amenities to guests and ensure guest needs are met.
  • Provide guest with directions and information on attractions in the surrounding area.
  • Greet guests, guide them to check-in or their room and explain amenities and services.
  • Lift, carry and transport luggage which may weigh over 60 pounds to all lodge buildings up and down at least one flight of stairs.
  • Move luggage to and from guest?s room and vehicle/buses.
  • Oversee luggage check service - tag and check luggage.
  • Assist with Front Desk and housekeeping needs.
  • Support in ensuring cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere of the resort by removing trash and debris from the parking lot and lodge buildings.
  • Effectively communicate with guests, employees, tour directors and vendors to ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Go the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations.
  • Diplomatically handle guest complaints such as lost luggage ? always be polite and maintain a professional manner.
  • Must be flexible - willing to work a varied schedule.
  • Report to work in proper uniform and name tag.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus, but not required.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide outstanding service in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry luggage (up to 50 lbs) and walk long distances within the hotel.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Appearance:

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the hotel?s uniform and grooming standards.

Flexibility:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.
