Job Description

Aramark is currently seeking a Assistant Concessions Manager to support the University of Iowa Athletics, home of the Iowa Hawkeyes! The Assistant Concessions Manager is responsible for overseeing concessions and warehouse operations to support all sports and special events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of concessions warehouse team, with a focus on receiving inbound shipments, inventory control, and product storage, movement & stocking, for preparation and oversight of all sports and special events
  • Oversee concessions operations on game and event days, ensuring product stock is maintained
  • Direct in-bound and out-bound inventories of merchandise, equipment and supplies to ensure efficient storage and utilization of products
  • Communicates with vendors as needed to ensure timely delivery of ordered products and equipment
  • Ensure that work is completed using safe practices and in compliance with all company, local, state, and federal standards
  • Monitor workflow and ensure proper inventories are pulled for daily routes
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and performance management of each member of the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree preferred or at least 2 years of related experience in a management or supervisor role required
  • Previous experience in special events or high-volume food and beverage quick service operations required
  • Valid Driver's License and prior experience operating forklifts preferred
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team dynamic
  • Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must have availability to work event-based hours including evening, weekend, and potentially holiday hours
