VAVE Packaging Leader

We engineer and manufacture a full range of power and signal distribution systems, including the high-speed data and high-power electrical systems needed to build feature-rich, highly automated, electric vehicles.

Position Summary

Responsible for leading value analysis and value engineering initiatives focusing on Packaging Engineering to optimize, develop and test packaging solutions for our inbound (supplier) product to reduce costs and improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, packaging, excellent analytical skills, and experience with VAVE methodologies.

Your Role

• Meet annual savings target.
• Collaborate with suppliers to design and develop innovative packaging solutions to reduce cost, meet product protection and sustainability.
• Coordinate packaging testing and validation to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and implement packaging or VAVE recommendations focused on cost reduction.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Lead VAVE workshops and teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including project reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Identify and implement best practices and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• Good English skills (written and oral)
• Computer skills (MS Office)
• 3+ years of experience in VAVE, packaging engineering, or related field
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, processes, and testing methods
• Strong understanding of VAVE methodologies and tools
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with packaging, product design, engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Ability to lead and facilitate workshops and teams.
