This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment out of Westfield, IN.
Summary:
The candidate would be responsible for supporting Validation Engineering activities for Active Safety projects. This includes but is not limited to test plan development, customer interface, design team member, new hardware test technologies, writing/maintaining software applications and drivers, test hardware development, test software development, and process documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Validation Process activities during the product design cycle from product concept to production launch.
- Manage critical path timing issues to ensure on time test completion.
- Responsible for requirements analysis and test plan generation.
- Develop validation test procedures using success based test methods, extended life test methods, test to failure test methods, and overstress test methods.
- Analysis of test data and comparison to requirements.
- Develop test hardware and software necessary to validate Active Safety products. This includes, but is not limited to, procuring capital assets, developing test methods and fixtures, writing test software, designing analog and digital load boards for product stimulus, designing cables, and applying engineering principles as required.
- Analyze data. Create test summaries and reports.
- Support new business activities.
- Participate in product development team activities and interface with customers.

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
- BS Engineering, Major: Electronics, EE, ECE, EET
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong capabilities in communication, organization, and multitasking
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3+ years' experience working in a dynamics lab environment
- Knowledge/experience using data acquisition equipment and data analysis for test profile development
- Experience with noise measurement equipment and testing
- Coursework in vehicle dynamics or demonstrated vehicle interest
- Proven ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems.
- Programming experience in C/C++, CAPL, NI LabWindows, NI LabView, and NI TestStand.
- A strong working knowledge of computers, MS Office applications, and a drawing package such as Visio, Multisim, and etc. is required.
- Familiarity with Agile process, requirements traceability management tools, software source control tools.
- Familiarity with automated test equipment: i.e. Vector CANoe, DMM, ARB, power supply, oscilloscopes, generators, radar target simulators, and etc. NI PXI/PXIe experience preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols, such as CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, LVDS, and etc.
- Experience with basic circuit design.
