The test engineer is a professional in charge of the test and programming processes (development, maintenance, and optimization), which play an important role in providing safe coverage and compliance with the Quality specifications of the products we ship to our customers. The Test Engineer applies the correct test strategy for each product and process.
Your Role:
- Establish test methodologies, procedures, and standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test cases, execute test plans, and validate system functionality and integrity.
- Manage the setup and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and communication interfaces, to support validation and verification activities for automotive embedded systems.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure the availability of required test resources, tools, and equipment, facilitating efficient and effective testing processes.
- Implement defect tracking and management systems, overseeing the recording, tracking, and resolution of software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Utilize defect-tracking tools and platforms to prioritize and assign defects, monitor defect resolution progress, and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders
- Define communication protocol testing strategies, develop test scenarios, and execute validation tests to validate protocol compliance, interoperability, and performance.
- Establish quality control processes and measures to assess and ensure the quality and reliability of software and systems, adhering to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Conduct quality audits, reviews, and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Manage human and technical resources within the testing and validation team, including staffing, training, performance evaluation, and professional development, to build and maintain a highly motivated team.
- Effectively allocate resources to meet project deadlines and deliverables, balancing workload, skills, and capabilities to optimize team productivity and efficiency.

Your Background:
- Engineering degree preferably in one of the following areas: Electronics, Mechatronics.
- Proficient in English language
- Preference 3-5 years of experience
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams computer packages.
- Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors, peers, local and remote technical support groups.
- Ability to program software in any language (Teststand, LabView, Visual studio, C, C++, Python)
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving techniques.
- Knowledge of the most common testing processes: ICT, Programming, Functional Test for inline and standalone equipment.
- Knowledge of Statistical Techniques.
- Knowledge of electronic and pneumatic, electronic instrumentation and circuit analysis.
- Automotive Communication protocols (CAN, LIN, ethernet, JTAG and SPI protocols)
