Your Role
We are looking for a highly motivated technician to have ownership of data collection hardware, vehicles, and lab setup for camera-based interior sensing features. Interior sensing is a new and rapidly growing area that provides life-saving products such as driver drowsiness/attention monitoring, seat belt recognition, and left-behind child detection, as well as convenience features such as gesture recognition.

As the Data Collection Technician on our team you will facilitate the development and testing of these features by:
- Maintaining data collection hardware, vehicles and lab in top working condition
- Constructing or obtaining system setups as needed, including cameras, cables, PCs, and product hardware
- Installing data collection hardware in a vehicle or lab environment with sufficient documentation to allow replication in other sites
- Debugging problems in system functionality
- Suggesting continuous improvement activities
- Occasionally performing data collection activities
- Assisting the team with purchasing coordination, record keeping, etc.
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- Technical degree with a strong hands-on component
- Enjoyment of hands-on electronics construction
- Background working with both hardware and software
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks
- Demonstrated ability to do methodical problem solving, especially separating hardware problems from software problems
- Driving license B cat.
- Good communication skills in English in written and spoken form
Additional points for:
- Ability to handle simple software programming
- Knowledge of 3D printing methods and/or metal working capability
- Prior experience in electro-mechanic or vehicle mechanic
