The Sensing Function Owner position, working in the domain of camera and/or radar-based advanced driver assistance functions, is a customer-facing role, requiring a deep technical understanding, while at the same requiring the soft skills needed in order to interface with customers and other stakeholders.
The end-to-end ownership in this role ensures through cooperation with internal and external development teams the on-time, high quality system delivery.
Your Role:
- Act as the primary point of contact to internal and external stakeholders (customers/suppliers) and subject matter expert for assigned systems products/functions, taking ownership of the design, development, and integration.•
- Oversee the integration of system components, modules, and interfaces to ensure seamless interoperability and functionality.
- Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the product development lifecycle to meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive innovation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the product systems function to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Conduct market analysis and research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes relevant to assigned product systems.
- Utilize tools such as Polarion/Jira to capture, document, and track requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with project objectives.
- Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring effective planning, execution, and monitoring of product development activities.
- Make decisions regarding system architecture, design, integration, and testing, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer requirements.
- The role might involve international and intercontinental travel multiple times a year

Your Background:
(indicate whether R - required or P - preferred)
- BSc or MSc in electronics, telecommunication, robotics, software engineering, computer science, physics or equivalent (P)
- 3 years or more work experience as a systems engineer, product owner, function engineer, or equivalent (P)
- Proven leadership skills and good judgment regarding systems, software, and perception (P)
- Fluent proficiency in English, both verbal and written. (R)
- Experience in the automotive and/or truck industry development (ISO26262, Regulations, etc.) (P)
- Experience in ASPICE (P)
- Experience working in an agile development environment (P)
- Experience in Polarion / Doors / Jira (P)
- Basic programming skills in Matlab, Python or C/C++ (P)
- Understanding of product development process (P)
