The Supplier Quality Engineer coordinates & drives supplier quality engineering activities at Aptiv manufacturing locations with focus on quality problem reporting and resolution.
The role requires a person, capable to set, control and ensure implementation of development targets in challenging situations and taking technological trends into account.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor supplier performance, develop and publish data reports and present data at site reviews
- Manage supplier performance deficiencies with e.g. Controlled shipping and NBH
- Supplier quality complaints: judge 8D reports and Problem Solving Tools analysis
- Support and push under performing suppliers in their improvement activities
- Manage supplier changes processing (SSCR)
- Support Cost Recovery activities between Supplier and Aptiv
- Support cross-functional teams (APQP/PDP) and function as a liaison to additional supplier development / supplier quality resources
- Lead Regional SPDP Planning & Analysis and Administration Activities
- Perform audits at suppliers concerning Manufacturing & Problem solving capabilities, independent planning, execution and rating of system and process audits at suppliers on request. Monitor/accelerate supplier implementation of improvement plans through follow up measures.

Basic Requirements:
Required:
- Technical education (Engineer/Technician or adequate background)
- Experience of min 3 years of Supplier Quality, Advance Quality or Quality Area in Automotive industry
- Knowledge of manufacturing, quality and engineering processes
- Knowledge of Quality and Problem Solving tools
- Experience in Auditing of suppliers according to IATF Standards
- Knowledge of Customer Specific requirements (including German OEMs) and Automotive Standard
- Fluent English required
- Interpersonal skills to lead motivate and facilitate others in group situations and instruct others in new techniques
- Self confident appearance in front of Supplier Management
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work with only limited direction from Supervisor
- Flexibility and travel readiness
- Driving license category B
- Experience in Claim Management
Preferred:
- Experience in Auditing of suppliers according to VDA Standards
- Understanding the impact of Sustainability on SQE
- Knowledge regarding Market Analysis & Data Analytics
