Your tasks:
Good localization is essential to plan the future course of automotive vehicles. Now consider, that these vehicles can not only consume map data but on the other hand can also create maps. We are looking for a passionate experienced engineer with the mathematical background and experience in localization and mapping techniques, in order to develop the next generation of localization and mapping algorithms, not only able localize the host vehicle on a given map, but also to automatically build a map using camera and radar sensors to use the data in future drives.
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a good overview and a deep mathematical understanding the different techniques in localization and mapping, who would like to apply their knowledge on real world data to build a map of the world. The candidate should bring a hands-on attitude, good programming skills and good communication skills and with experience also be able to help younger team members.

Your background:
- Master or Ph.D. in science, technology, physics, engineering and mathematics or a related field
- Excellent analytical skills and a good mathematical background with deep mathematical understanding
- Fluent programming skills and experience in programming with a modern programming language, such as C/C++, Cuda, Python
- Experience with software development as part of a large team
- Work experience with in at least one of the points:
- SLAM or Structure from Motion methods
- Modern radar signal processing methods
- Machine learning & Deep Learning
- Experience in deep learning toolkits like Pytorch, Tensor Flow, etc.
- Experience in the field of real-time and embedded systems
- ADAS experience
- Proven track record of publications in relevant conferences (CVPR, NIPS, ICCV, ICRA, Fusion, ...) showing the capability to develop leading competitive solutions.
