A Software Engineer is responsible for developing software solutions for APTIV Automation and Robotics projects with integrated or standalone and equipment's. This position is part of Global Core Engineering Team with direct report to the automation and industrialization manager, working directly with innovation team as well with diferent suppliers for final solutions integration or development.

Your Role:
- Software Engineer will be responsible for analyzing system requirements, writing and installing programs, develop necessary tests and simulation plans, testing system efficiency and providing operational support.
- Develop programs from scratch, be responsible for researching, designing, building, and maintaining systems and applications.
- Coding, testing, modifying and implementing new or existing software/hardware products.
- Work with manufacturing innovation teams, writing clean, scalable code, creating testing protocols, fixing bugs, and deploying programs and projects.
- Support development of different projects running on the automation team, and making the interaction with the Process Owners and suppliers to make the transition of developed automation projects into the manufacturing area (plants) and POS.
Your Background:

- Bachelor or Degree Electronics, Computing or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of programming languages and/or electronics and/or artificial vision, an excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work to a deadline
- Advanced of programming languages: Phyton, C#, Kotlin, CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript
- Knowledge of structured and object-oriented languages
- Knowledge of APIs REST, databases, networks and systems management.
- Natural capabilities and passion for process automated solutions.
- Communication skills in English, verbal & written.
- Work environment is presential in Lisbon Aptiv Center.
- Availability for traveling in Europe is required.
