1.To ensure yearly business plan meet company cost reduction target and establish long term contracts with supplier with approved multi-year cost reduction target.

2.To source and select suppliers timely that meet Quality, Volume, Cost criteria to meet company business objectives.

3.Establish supplier category strategy for the buying office.

New business quotes support

1..Engage category teams to support new project bidding process;

2.Work creatively to support Business Manager/Sales to address customer special requests;

3.Guarantee new BOM cost is competitive in new bidding.

Support flawless project launch;

1.Actively support in pre-quote process for new supplier selection and negotiations

2.Collaborate related people to address critical issues in an efficient way

3.Qualify/select/approve suppliers for approved supplier list/PBU/Segment

4.Review/communicate project plan with PBU and GSM category team

Responsible for competitive BOM cost & driving cost reduction continuously

1.Monitor supplier performance and reevaluate capabilities

2.Create and monitor supplier assessment and development plans (execution owned by the division)

3.Develop plan to attain lowest upfront costs/ideal Value Stream performance.

4.Build and maintain global Supplier relationships for major cross PBU suppliers & lead cross-PBU negotiations as required

5.Support the negotiation of corporate-wide supplier payment terms and Master Terms & Conditions with PBU support

6.Cost model set up and have experience for supplier cost analysis

Address critical purchasing related issues with cross functional team;

1.Promote cost management activities to ensure requirements are covered by cost standards;

2.Coordinate/Lead Category Team activities

3.Coordinate technical lead & supplier interface resources to continually develop supply base and understand global market trends/changes

4.Assure appropriate technical integration and leadership to:

1) Communize specifications & parts

2) Serve as engineering liaisons

Your Role

1.As commodity in buying office. Provide active and effective involvement & leverage with global commodity team.

2.Work with cross- functional team on potential low cost suppliers development to align with the localization, cost reduction. Competitively bid and negotiate winning agreements. Ensue on time sourcing and localization

3.Competitive analysis based on commodity, cost drivers, technology and market/industry benchmarking, supply/demand, market trends, capacity

4.Utilize cost management tools effectively to achieve lowest upfront cost, including understanding of commodity "current" ; "potential" ; "ideal" price. Implement & help create strategic plans and tactics to drive Value Improvement using tools such as lean concepts, cost modeling, and Six sigma.

5.Develop purchasing strategies for assigned commodity to achieve ideal price and meet cost savings target meeting Q, V, C criteria.

6.Support cost estimating by ensuring cost book information is current and with appropriate future years forecast pricing.

7.Continuous search and understanding of the commodity supply base ensuring understanding of new market trend, new competitive supply base that will meet the changing business new of the company.

Your Background

1.B.S. Degree or above in Engineering, Commercial etc.

2.More than 6 years experiences on related commodity. Experience in auto industry will be a plus. CPSM will be a Plus.

3.Good knowledge of relevant purchasing procedures and knowledge of relevant corporate procedures

4.Tenacious personality & ability to make things happen

5.Excellent Communication Skills (Mandarin & English)

6.High Interpersonal Skills

7.Global Perspective

8.Goal Oriented Problem Solving Skills

9.Multi Task Skills & Negotiation Skills & People Skills

10.Excellent computer skills such as MS Excel, MS Words. SAP will be a plus.

11.Skills to analyze supplier financial information and determine manufacturing capability from go to the spot assessment
