The Regional Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple manufacturing sites within the assigned region. This role ensures financial accuracy, drives cost efficiencies, and supports strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and financial reporting, along with leadership experience in a multi-site environment.
Competencies and required skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills.

General Functions
- Financial Leadership & Reporting:
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the region, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyze financial results, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, and company policies.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance:
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability at each site.
- Support plant controllers and operations teams in driving cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with supply chain and operations to optimize working capital, including inventory management and cost control.
- Strategic Business Partnering:
- Act as a financial advisor to plant managers and regional leadership, providing insights for operational and strategic decisions.
- Support capital investment analysis, ROI evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses for new projects.
- Drive process improvements in financial planning, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and audit procedures.
- Collaboration with corporate finance and legal teams.
- Lead regional finance team in SOX compliance.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise and mentor plant controllers and regional finance staff.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance function.
- Foster collaboration between finance and operations teams to achieve business objectives.
