In our EDS, Electrical Distribution System Business Unit, we engineer and manufacture a full range of power and signal distribution systems, including the high-speed data and high-power electrical systems needed to build feature-rich, highly automated, electric vehicles.

Position Summary

The Quality Final Assembly supervisor has the responsibility to ensure that all customer and Aptiv requirements are in compliance within final Assembly area processes, comply 100% with customer specific requirements, control plan execution and PFMEA update.

Your Role

Ensure proper administration of the quality inspectors and improve resources available.

  • Ensure proper workloads for quality inspectors at FA area.
  • Ensure presenteeism of quality inspectors in the final Assembly area.
  • Meeting with Auditors to review problems reported by the previous shift and communicate to mfg. technicians.

Ensure proper follow up for the product audit at final assembly areas

  • Walk Product audit by quality inspectors levels.
  • Ensure proper execution of the product audit at final assembly area.
  • Ensure training on product audit IATF requirements for FA quality Inspectors.
  • Request action plans for the demerits of the Product audit.

Ensure proper follow up for process audit and LPA's audits in all final assembly processes.

  • Walk Process audit by quality Inspector levels.
  • Ensure proper Execution of the Process Audit.
  • Ensure training on process audit IATF requirements for FA quality Inspectors.
  • Execute LPA audit for the FA area.
  • Request action plans for the demerits of the audit.
  • Validate key stations and certification.
  • Secure operator certifications at key stations.
  • Walk of respect for the material / 5S's in FA area.
  • Audit shelf presence and functionality according to WPO
  • Verify the presence of the installed quality gates.
  • Ensure the necessary sampling and certification at each quality gate.
  • Prepare presentation for daily communication meeting of red labels, internal complaints and customer complaints.
  • Coordinate daily communication meetings for red labels, internal complaints and customer complaints.
  • Walk audit by quality technician levels.
  • Monitor pending action plans.

Ensure control of non-conforming product, rework process and disposition of nonconforming product.

  • Ensure that control of non-conforming product is handled according procedure requirements.
  • Ensure that documentation and records for the non-conforming product is maintained and preserved.
  • Ensure proper disposition of the suspect and non-conforming product.
  • Ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions for top quality issues of non-conforming product.

Ensure corrective action implementation and follow up for internal and external complaints.

  • Ensure that all corrective action related with the Final Assembly area from internal and external complaints are followed and implemented.
  • Ensure that the all information related to internal and external complaints is deployed and updated in a properly way at the FA process area (Quality Gates, VPS, Process Letters, Work Methods, Fast Response Tracker)
  • Ensure that the effectiveness of the corrective action is validated with different tools defined for this purpose (DPS, LPA's, Fast Response, etc.)
  • Ensure Look Across of corrective actions identified for internal and external complaints.

Your Background

  • English proficiency is a must (80% or higher).
  • College degree completed: Engineering or any other related.
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with autonomy and in a team working environment.
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills.
