Position Summary:

The Quality manager has the full responsibility to ensure execution of all value streams comply 100% with customer specific requirements, control plan execution and PFMEA update. Quality Manager has the authority and responsibility to ensure quality census across specific program or group of customer value streams towards ensuring designed quality program is being executed and improved; quality manager is responsible to provide the resources required and agree upon.

Main responsibilities:

Ensure proper execution of customer satisfaction though all manufacturing value streams.

  • Containment: immediate. Ensure that quality checks & rework are well defined, managed & data collected for effectiveness verification
  • Ensure that the CSE "Go & See" the problem to correctly assess it, communicate with customer and avoid false alerts Maintain a clear communication channel with customer supplier quality engineer to avoid unnecessary escalations
  • Ensure temporary measures are eliminated once process performance & stabilization are back to expected levels.

Prevention management.

  • Ensure proper update scope & frequency permanently to ensure key process standards are executed according to standards
  • Decide with quality management to stop the production if customer risk is estimated too high
  • Ensure quality auditor staffing is sufficient to realize efficiently process surveillance
  • Ensure Proper train and support Quality Auditors.

Ensure Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) compliance.

  • Ensure proper release of new CSR applicable for his/her customer and value stream
  • Ensure the compliance of his/her value stream to the CSR
  • Ensure proper communication to the quality organization the new requirements.
  • Ensure proper Preparation customer audits / visits to ensure audit / visit success.

Ensure internal quality KPI's performance are met on assigned value stream problem management ensure proper follow up to the quality problem management system

  • Ensure Proper Implementation of decision criteria for all quality gates, with a pre-defined reaction plan & escalation process
  • Ensure proper follow up of quality troubleshooting matrix utilization and triggers improvement requests based on lessons learned
  • Ensure proper update the quality trouble shooting matrix based on lessons learned
  • Decide with quality management to stop the production if CoPQ / FTQ performance is out of control
  • Organize and supervise containment activities as necessary for efficient control & quality over accident prevention
  • Ensure quality auditors are capable
  • Ensure proper follow up of the jail process for his/her value stream: ensure all suspicious parts are safely stored, well identified and removed from PC&L stock.

Ensure proper follow up to the Continuous Improvement of quality metrics - Medium term.

  • Ensure proper Analysis of data over weekly, monthly, annual periods to identify most relevant continuous improvement activities
  • Build & continuously adjust annual improvement plan based major gap contributor problems
  • Lead & follow-up continuous improvement activities in order to achieve the planned quality performance.

Ensure proper follow up of Performance Monitoring on quality metrics - Short term.

  • Ensure daily quality routines to collect quality & quantitative data with quality coordinators support
  • Identifies daily priorities and engage with other functions to countermeasure quality deviations
  • Ensure Proper Support the QRQC process (Quick Response Quality Control)
  • Ensure rapidly PDCA / Kaizen activities to stabilize quality performance or countermeasure quality deviation
  • Ensure Continually monitor quality outcomes at each special process, each quality gate and each test operation. Where outcomes indicate unsatisfactory first time yields, out of control states, high rework, excessive scrap rates, immediately investigate and resolve root causes to return the process to desired performance levels.

Prevention management -ensure the quality prevention management system (surveillance & maintenance).

  • Ensure that the scope and regularity of process monitoring activities guarantee that process standards are maintained
  • Ensure proper Update of control plans as necessary (in coordination with central quality team for special processes) to protect the customer.
  • Ensure that control plans and deficiencies in the quality troubleshooting matrix lead to the revision and updating of the PFMEA
  • Ensure quality Participation to Reverse PFMEA activity at station level as a co-leader
  • Conduct formal periodic line-side reviews and BOT reviews to ensure the line continues to execute as intended and that the equipment is maintained in the configuration and condition upon which it was initially qualified
  • Ensure quality records requirements are defined to meet IATF / VDA / Customer requirements, protect the Company and support customer inquiries
  • Ensure quality records are completed correctly and consistently during operations and that they are safe and easily accessible
  • If appropriate feed the lessons learned database to capitalize learnings.

Ensure value stream processes are compliant to standards: automotive (IATF); customers (AIAG, VDA); supplier and internal (OSA)Ensure value stream procedures and documentation are compliant to IATF / IATF 16949.

  • Ensure quality records requirements are defined to meet IATF / IATF 16949 and protect the site from audit non conformities

Ensure value stream tools & methods meet customer standards (AIAG, VDA)

  • Ensure proper follow up of quality records requirements are defined to meet AIAG / VDA, or additional customer specific request, protect the company and support customer inquiries.

Ensure value stream follows APTIV OSA standard

Ensure that sensitive components (CRA) are managed according to supplier standards - (fragile, chemical component).

  • Ensure that standards are respected: handling, temperature, humidity exposures etc...
  • Ensure that shop floor leaders (operations, quality) routines include supplier standard compliance.

Ensure proper execution of safe introduction of product & process changes.

  • Ensure PPAPs are efficiently completed and submitted
  • Ensure that extra Quality Gates and other controls are in place to protect the customer during change introduction
  • Ensure that PFMEA and Control Plans are updated appropriately
  • Ensure that process is demonstrably capable of consistently delivering high quality outputs.

Advance Quality Planning.

  • Ensure proper validation of new projects / new processes to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure proper follow up to risk identification & mitigation process
  • Ensure proper Compile quality data to select top critical to quality problems for Reverse PFMEA activity
  • Ensure quality Participation to Reverse PFMEA activities at station level as a co-leader
  • Enrich the existing control plan with appropriate countermeasures to ensure safe launches in the presence of known risks
  • Engage with CSE organization to plan safe launch plan.

Ensure proper follow up to risk identification & mitigation process for special processes.

  • Ensure proper Compile quality data from similar processes if available and check lessons learned database
  • Enrich Functional analysis and PFMEA (ratings based on data, forgotten risks or undesired outputs)
  • Ensure quality trouble shooting matrix is structured in a manner to optimize the reaction to a quality problem (speed & efficiency)
  • Enrich the existing control plan with appropriate countermeasures in coordination with central quality team

Ensure quality Participation in process capability and process validation studies.

  • Ensure Proper Review and approve processes that will be used to verify and accept product.
  • Ensure that the processes are correctly engineered and controlled to reliably yield the product characteristics that are critical to fit, form and functional requirements.

Ensure proper Organization & develop of quality assurance system.

  • Inquire about the complete coverage of the customer requirements by either design solutions or process or product controls
  • Ensure that listed controls are in place and effective
  • Manage and develop quality resources to ensure that controls are maintained in line with volume growth
