Summary

The Product Line Purchasing Leader is located at our Juarez Technical Center. This position will mainly Support our Growth through "Mega Quotes" considering the entire APTIV Product Portfolio. Influence SCM Strategy Development to meet the needs of the all product lines involved and enforce all corporate, divisional, and SCM policies and procedure. Drive all SCM related activities and processes needed to support the BBP Revenue and OI targets for the region.

Key Activities include:

• Enforce all corporate, divisional, and GSM policies and procedures

  • Attain lowest upfront cost/ideal value stream performance targets by engaging Engineering,

Manufacturing and suppliers.

  • Lead and implement early supplier selection process.
  • Address all SCM and Suppliers related issues impacting supply, quality and material performance.
  • Drive development of strategic suppliers by product line with PBU in collaboration with

Responsibilities:

• Lead supplier selection including the RFQ process, supplier evaluation and communication as well

as key participation in sourcing decisions.

• Manage global procurement activities for the Global Product Line across all customer projects

worldwide.

• Responsible for the change management process for Procurement as well as project planning.

• Represent the SCM team when working across the functions (Sales, Engineering etc.) and lead

technical supplier discussions.

• Act as the central interface between the Global Product Line and central SCM team (material field

related purchasing, quality functions).

• Lead and represent SCM in reviews with the Senior Management Team

• Deliver committed material performance for projects globally. Drive Categories to deliver on P2P

and Engineering to deliver on Design Cost Saving Initiatives

• Support the business in research and use of new technology suppliers.

• Manage global SCM financial Risk & Opportunity Tracker.

• Determine material cost for new programs and approve purchased parts business cases

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications)

present ideas and gain commitments that are crucial to the success of the business.

• Creative Thinker: Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and creatively to resolve problems.

• Strategic Approach: Strategic thinking with the ability and experience to develop, implement and

document strategies and execution plans for long term initiatives

• Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate

at senior leadership levels

• Teamwork: Aware & understands international & virtual teamwork; demonstrated ability to

develop and foster strong cross-functional relationships

  • Knowledge of Semiconductors industry, key players/technologies and electronics procurement.

• Experience and Knowledge: Management experience (8y+) in Purchasing or Engineering,

• Languages: fluent in English

• Education: degree (Bachelor or higher) in industrial or electrical engineering

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)

• EE or Mechanical Engineering Degree

  • Lean Expertise

• Additional languages (Spanish, Chinese)

• Experience in Safety Electronics
