Your Role:
- Meet material performance all categories, incl. P2P/NCP, Design Optimization, Inbound Logistics, Mtl. Utilization etc. for
- BOM creation and QUOTATION expertise
- Execute SCM Product Development Process (PDP) program management to meet flawless launch objectives (Quality, Operating Income & Revenue)
- Support country business pursuits targets and make sure BOM is competitive at pursuit, PDP and mass production phases.
- Assure on-going operational excellence of purchased material within product line for the life of the program (quality, delivery).
- Support the country Growth Strategy and align with category/SQ&D on supplier development strategy.
- Ensure program profitability by supporting customer quoting process and acting as material champion in support of winning new business.
- Support Manufacturing footprint through Best Cost Country (BCC), In region-for-region and VOI etc.

Your Background
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar qualification
- 3 years of experience in Global Supply Management with internationally operating corporations, including over 2 years of supervisor/management role.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requirement for any type of visa sponsorship or transfer both now and at any time in the future.
- Local residents of metro Detroit preferred
- Ability to manage supplier relationships with absolutes of ethics and integrity, and experience in working "up front" with suppliers to ensure superior material performance
- Proficiency in business finance to support business decisions
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to cope with demanding environment and conflict resolution
- Strong proficiency in English
- Excellent computer skills with MS Office programs
Major Accountabilities:
• Drive all assigned SCM activities required to deliver Region's annual revenue & OI Targets.
• Attain Quality Business Case Requirements of the Product Line -- Assure on-going operational excellence of purchased material within product line for the life of the program including quality and delivery (Shared responsibility among PLPL/SQ/Category Managers); Assure execution of supplier assessment and drive supplier development activities in support of the product line needs and global enterprise category team strategies and direction
• Attain Volume Business Case Requirements of the product line -- Execute Purchasing Program Management to achieve flawless launch (PPAP, DSR's, DSP's etc.); Facilitate the Early Sourcing Plan & Flawless Launch Plan; Follow up on deliverables and tracking of Early Sourcing/Strategic Sourcing; Escalate potential cost, Material%/Sales, plan and timing misses to PLPM and SCM leaders; Track programs to achieve Flawless Launch; Serve as the central SCM contact to the product line organization for Direct Materials
• Attain Cost Business Case Requirements of the Product Line -- Drive product teams to develop and execute plans to convert all "red" or loss programs related to purchased material to profitability or "green"
• Support MCIP (Material Cost Improvement Programs)activities - participate in the workshops; suggest alternative components; drive benchmarking; provide pricing data to be able to make cost comparison; ensure compliance with SCM Category strategy; understand cost impact of the initiative to the project.
• Influence SCM Category strategy development to meet the needs of the product line
- Participate in category planning and execution representing GPL needs
- Provide feedback to category organization to adjust/update category strategies in order to align
with GPL business and financial metrics
• Comply with all corporate, divisional, and SCM policies and procedures
• Trigger supplier escalation process - PLPL is first level of escalation
