Your role
- Develop terminal products and assemblies using requirements from customers, Aptiv Bill of Design & Process, and design guidelines
- Developing existing terminal products and proposing their improvements
- Complete robust new product designs which meet customer validation requirements and supports connection systems growth- from concept development to program launch/PPAP
- Participation in the the terminal product development process (including the on-time completion of internal design reviews, DFMs, DFMEAs, tolerance stack studies) & design reviews.
- Initiate cost estimates, design requests, RFQs, and all other documentation used in the device process
- Designing in 2D and 3D, analysis of dimensions tolerance for metal and plastic elements of HV products.
- Consideration in design process HV requirements and standards, usage of HV BOD (Bill of Design)
- Follow terminal engineering best practices
- Drive material cost reduction in designs
- Create excellent technical presentations and lead presentation at the customer
- Attend customer design reviews, support Design Validation with part and assembly procurement, and support any initial vehicle/bench builds during transition from Flow 3 to Flow 4
- Provide engineering support for tooling, process, manufacturing and SQA activities

Your Background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in technical field with specialization in mechanics, mechatronics
- Experience of product design (especially terminals) and analytical design skills
- Good skills in one of following CAD software, e.g.: Siemens NX - preferred, Catia V5, Inventor, ProE
- Knowledge of tolerance stack analysis
- Knowledge of GD&T rules (dimensioning and geometrical tolerances)
- Knowledge of stamping manufacturing technologies (especially terminals)
- Ability to create new Terminal designs per customer requirements
- Ability to create innovative and cost-effective terminals design solutions for terminals and connection systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work in team and to solve problems creatively and fast learning
- Openness to the challenges and development
